Meet Dr. Gupta

Dr. Gupta is a board-certified Pediatric Hematologist who specializes in providing care to girls and young women with blood disorders. She joined Alliance in 2024. Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of hematological conditions, including bleeding and thrombotic disorders, hemoglobinopathies, and red cell membrane and enzyme disorders. Her collaborative efforts through the Center of Excellence for Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology/Hematology at Alliance Obstetrics & Gynecology Group aim to provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary care for young patients in need. 


Dr. Gupta’s distinguished medical journey commenced with her graduation with top honors from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. She then completed a residency in pediatrics followed by a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the esteemed Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She further specialized in Transfusion Medicine and Coagulation at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.


Dr. Gupta has held leadership roles as a Director of Hematology and Medical Director of a Sickle Cell Program and Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center. She has also been instrumental in initiatives aimed at enhancing evidence-based quality in healthcare. As a Principal Investigator, she actively participates in clinical research trials, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to advancing medical research. Her scholarly contributions include numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and distinguished speaking engagements at both national and international medical conferences. She has served as a consultant with pharmaceutical firms and she has been instrumental in guiding drug development strategies and overseeing clinical trials. In addition to her clinical pursuits, Dr. Gupta’s entrepreneurial drive led her to co-found VainSim, an innovative medical simulation device. As an active member of several prestigious medical societies, Dr. Gupta continues to influence the field of hematology through her involvement in clinical committees and as a respected advisor. Her advocacy efforts have been recognized with accolades such as the Champion of the Impact Award from the Kids Conquering Sickle Cell Foundation. Her dynamic career is a testament to her unwavering dedication to the advancement of hematology, positioning her as a key figure in the realms of clinical research and healthcare innovation.


When not working, Dr. Gupta enjoys reading, cooking, and exploring new cultures and cuisines. She lives in Orlando with her husband and son. She is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
